How the rankings work
Who’s counting, and how
Four different scorekeepers, four different methods. None of them take anyone’s word for it.
Modex
Modex compiles individual originator production from public loan-origination records and ranks loan officers by volume within each state. Its “#1 in Minnesota” recognition is based on that data, not on a submission.
Fairway production rankings
Fairway Home Mortgage ranks its individual loan officers nationwide by funded volume each calendar year. In 2025, Oliver finished first among all Fairway originators.
Scotsman Guide
The industry’s longest-running originator ranking. Every entrant must clear a production minimum, and every dollar is verified with the originator’s employer before publication. Oliver has been ranked multiple years.
Top 1% in America
A national designation for the highest-producing originators in the country, awarded annually on the prior year’s volume. Oliver has qualified every year since 2019.
What the record is not
A ranking isn’t a rate, and it isn’t a promise.
Being #1 by volume doesn’t mean a lower rate for you, a faster approval than the guidelines allow, or a yes when the answer should be “not yet.” It means a lot of people trusted this team with the biggest purchase of their lives and enough of them came back to make a record.
What it does mean: the person quoting you has seen nearly every scenario a Minnesota file can throw, and the team behind him has the reps to move fast without cutting corners. That’s the part worth talking about.
Questions people ask about the record
Straight answers
Is Oliver White really the #1 loan officer in Minnesota?
By production volume, yes — Modex, which ranks originators using public loan-origination records, recognized Oliver as the #1 loan officer in Minnesota. He was also Fairway Home Mortgage’s #1 individual loan officer nationwide for 2025, ranked by funded volume. Both rankings are dated and sourced on this page.
What does “Top 1% mortgage originator in America” mean?
It is a national, production-based designation awarded annually to the highest-volume originators in the country. Oliver has earned it every year since 2019. It measures volume, not service quality — for that, read the 1,300+ verified client reviews.
How much volume did Oliver White fund in 2025?
More than $105 million in home loans in calendar year 2025, on top of more than $2 billion funded over his career with his team — roughly 6,200 families helped into a home.
Does a top producer actually have time for a smaller loan?
Yes. Every loan gets the same nine-person team, the same turn times and the same phone number. Volume is the result of people coming back and referring their friends, and that only happens when the $200,000 first house gets the same care as the lake house.
Where can I verify Oliver White’s license?
On NMLS Consumer Access under NMLS #1254113. Fairway Independent Mortgage Corporation is NMLS #2289. Oliver is licensed in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, North Dakota, Illinois, Arizona, California & Florida.
